Sea Lions

        

Sea lions are Mammals. They have hair, nurse their babies,breathe air and are warm blooded. 
They have teeth and eat fish.

They have ear flaps. (Seals have ear holes.) 
 
They have 20-30 whiskers. Sea lions can move their whiskers like we move our fingers.
The males are bigger than females. 
Sea lions can stay under water for 15 minutes.


 At Sea World some sea lions are in a show called "Sea Lions Live." 




They learn to: 


dive,

                                                              tap the trainer's leg,
                                          spank himself (for stealing a fish),
                                                                                            speak,
                                                                          act sad,
                                                                           wave,
                                                         














hold a ball on his nose,


                                                                          














and dance.
